Yoga Class Descriptions
Balance & Flow Yoga focuses primarily on balance, coordination, and body awareness. This class will also invite participants to connect with the breath in order to move to their “steady edge” to strengthen and challenge both the body and the mind.
Aquaboard Flow Yoga. Enjoy practicing Yoga on the water within the beautiful Keene Family YMCA Aquatic Center. This pool-based class includes Yoga poses and sequences that will enhance strength, flexibility, balance, and mind/body connection.
Gentle Stretch Yoga. Experience the mind-body connection as you practice “Gentle Stretch Yoga.” This class offers participants the opportunity to flow with each pose and connect with the breath. My goal for each session is to provide you with custom, quality yoga instruction. Through careful attention to your body, I teach principles and techniques that cultivate body awareness, demonstrate proper alignment, and draw on the breath for concentration and relaxation.
Chair Yoga. Have you wanted to practice Yoga, but were concerned about getting down, and coming up from the floor? If you answered “yes,” this gentle stretch Yoga session may be for you. This practice introduces participants to poses that can be done with, or on a chair. We will also have the opportunity to practice simple breath work and meditation.
